Volunteer with CA Students

In order to best disciple our students, our volunteer commitment is a weekly commitment (if work and health allows). We can have a more in-depth conversation about this, but do you feel like God is guiding you into a weekly rhythm of serving right now?

Volunteer Expectations

CHARACTER EXPECTATIONS.
We expect of all our leaders to be people of character, walking towards a greater commitment to Christ in their own lives, which means being:

--Committed to Christ: Putting your faith in Jesus and deciding to follow him
--Submitted to Scripture: Looking to the Bible as the final authority on Jesus and how to live our lives
--Self-Initiating: Taking responsibility for your own spiritual formation
--Prayerful: Supporting your church and ministry with prayer
--Generous: Practicing a regular pattern of financial giving to the efforts of our church
--Dependable: Following through on commitments
--Sober: Being free or in recovery from addictions to alcohol, drugs, or other substances
--Practicing Purity: Engaged in sexual behavior only in the confines of a heterosexual marriage, which includes not engaging in pornography. Leaders are not allowed to “date” or be romantically involved with students in either program

PROGRAM EXPECTATIONS.
We expect our leaders to serve with consistency as a witness to God’s faithfulness to our students, which includes:

--Attending weekly gatherings (unless sick or out of town) from 6:30-8:30pm for CAS -Wednesdays, or 5:30-7:30pm for 678 - Saturdays
--Attending monthly leader dinners (CAS - Wednesdays at 5:30; or 678 - Saturdays at 4:30)
--Attending Fall Retreat and be open to a conversation about Summer Camp (if work and family allow)
--Spend time at weekly program relationally connecting with students, starting discipleship conversations, and leading by example in attitude and engagement
